Introduction to Western Australian Plumbing Standards

Introduction to Western Australian Plumbing Standards

Australia has strict safety standards and licensing requirements associated with licensed trades. In order to carry out plumbing work in Western Australia a person must hold the appropriate license issued by the Plumbers Licensing Board in Western Australia (PLB). http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/building-commission/plumbers-licensing-overview

Plumbers who were trained outside Australia are required to demonstrate they have the skills and knowledge necessary to be granted a licence. In Western Australia, the standard applied to assess the skills and knowledge of the applicant is an Australian training package qualification CPC32413 Certificate III in Plumbing.

The CPC32413 Certificate III in Plumbing for migrant plumbers is delivered via the Introduction to Western Australian Plumbing Standards course, the process is part Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Australian content training with a capstone evaluation.
