The Plumbing and Painting Industry Skills and Technology Company Inc (PPISTC) was established in 1993 as a joint initiative of the Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association and the Master Painters, Decorators and Signwriters Association of Western Australia. In a tripartite agreement with the Unions and the State Government in 1999 PPISTC consolidated and became the Plumbing and Painting Training Company trading as MPA Skills. Since opening MPA Skills has achieved unprecedented success and is now one of the largest, if not the largest, private industry training provider organisation in Australia with a broad based, dynamic curriculum, a history of over 15,000 students and an enviable reputation for innovative excellence.
