ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Gas Installations II

Certificate of Competency A or Permit Class G.

Qualifications equivalent to either of the above acceptable to the Office of Energy Safety.

GENERAL AIMS:

Upon successful completion participants will:-

- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the regulations relating to servicing of gas appliances.
- Be able to diagnose faults in gas appliances given their history and/or signs.
- Be able to correct faults in gas appliances.
- Be able to perform preventative maintenance on gas appliances.
- Be able to carry out service to any gas appliance component.
- Have the necessary qualification to apply to Energy Safety 'G' permit.
- Have an understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principals.
