Young apprentices from Master
Painters Association Skills are painting the Ashfield Soccer
and Sports Club. The apprentices are practical training skills
while providing a benefit to the community facitliy. MPA Skills
is Western Australia's first industry based training centre
for the building and construction industry. The Town of Bassendean
has provided support to the sports club for nearly 30 years.
The club started out ina modest nissan army hut. Now with
an elevated sports clubhouse with a veranda, the club caters
for sports and social meetings for locals and visitors.
