Many of our courses are supported and funded by the Department of
Education and Training or the Building and Construction Industry
Training Fund (BCITF). Some courses require texts or additional

This course will be targeted at those entering
the plumbing and gas fitting trades. Successful completion
will provide direct articulation into an indentured apprenticeship
(Certificate III) in the Plumbing and Gasfitting Trades.
Successful completion of this course willprovide
a three-month reduction in the nominal term for the associated
apprenticeship. |

This course has been developed as a Certificate
III apprenticehip course that aligns to the CPC08 Construction,
Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package.
It is a course developed to meet the declared trades legislation
of WA and to meet the needs of the Plumbing and Gas Fitting
Industry sector.
This course will provide the learner with
practical skills and knowledge to carry out plumbing and gas
fitting applications in both the commercial and domestic sectors
of the industry. A certificate will be issued upon completion
of this course.
Plumbing and Gas Fitting is a declared trade
in WA and the plumbers Licensing Board will issue a Tradesperson's
Certificate on successful completion of the course and the
on-the-job requirements.
In addition, Energy Safety will issue a Class
G gas fitting permit to meet the requirements of the declared
trade. |

This course targets those entering the plumbing
and gasfitting trade. Successful completion will provide articulation
into an indentured apprenticeship (Certificate III) in the
plumbing and gasfitting trade.
This course is a traineeship pathway. It consists
of 12 weeks of training in classroom and workshop delivery. |

of Backflow Prevention, as required by the Water Corporation
of Western Australia.
Entrance Requirements:
1) Plumbing Apprentices
2) Plumbing tradespersons
3) Trade Certificate in Plumbing and Gasfitting
General Aims:
An understanding of the minimum requirements of Backflow Prevention,
as required by the Water Corporation of Western Australia.
An understanding of the various mechanical
devices, their specific uses, and testing requirements.
To provide the specific requirements for the
installation of break tanks (water storage tanks) which include,
air gap requirements, spill level requirements and overflow
requirements. |

This short course allows licensed Gas
Fitters to echange the meter regulator from 1.25kPa to 2.75kPa,
on suitable domestic/residential natural gas installations.
All students must hold a current gas permit/certificate of competency
issued by Energy Saftey. |

This unit specifies the competency required
to diagnose and repair faults on domestic and commercial Type
A gas appliances. It covers preparation for the work, fault
diagnosis, disassembly, repair/replacement, reassembly and the
completion of work finalisation processes including equipment
and job records. Work associated with this unit is undertaken
within the scope of AS 5601 and local licensing requirements
(gas, electrical and plumbing). |
Pre-Apprentice Scholarship
A $250.00 scholarship is available to all students who successfully complete their Pre Apprenticeship course.
This scholarship is subsidised by the Construction Training Fund.
$200 Training Voucher for Small Business

To be eligible for this $200 Training voucher, you will need to have an ABN and you must employ less than 20 people.
