Painters' Registration

This course meets the requirements of those
seeking registration with the Painter's Registration Board.
There are three pathways into this short course:
- People who hold a Certificate III in Painting
and Decorating or a qualification equivalent to this, or
- People with skills and experience in painting
and decorating who can demonstrate this in a practical test
which is a subset of the Certificate III in Painting and
Decorating, or
- People who are deemed by the Painters'
Registration Board to merit special entry.
There are two definable client groups -
- First, people who have graduated in WA,
or have equivalent qualifications, and wish to develop and/or
demonstrate their skills and competencies to become registered
painters.
- The second group are people who do not
have trade qualifications and need to demonstrate their
painting knowledge and skills as well develop and/or demonstrate
competencies to be recognised as registered painters.
The course consits of three mandatory competencies
and one knowledge module -
- BSBCMN401A - Establish business and legal
requirements
- CPCPD3001B - Prepare surfaces for painting
- BCGBC4004A - Identify and produce estimated
costs for building and construction projects

CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction

This course
is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills
to plan, prepare and complete Elevating Work Platform work
as prescribed by the National Standard for Licensing Persons
Performing High Risk Work. On completion of this course participants
will be able to conduct routine checks; plan work; check controls,
operate and shut down elevated work platform.

Prior Learning. Under guidelines for Mutual Recognition, any relevant
competencies achieved through previous training can be credited
against our courses. Please contact us for more details.
To help you with your career, the Construction Training Fund (CTF)
will provide a subsidy of $400 to all candidates who successfully
complete a recognition of prior learning/skills recognition assessment
towards obtaining a reconised building and construction trade qualification.
